NMP3 Ripper uses the lame mp3 encoding engine which to my ears and many, many others provides the best sound quality / filesize ratio available right now. It has freedb and ID3 tag support so you don't have to type in track names. If you're looking for a fast and easy way to create high quality mp3 rips, this is it. Version 0.6.7 adds the following: Better handing of tracks ripped from something other than CD. / 0.6.6 was incorrectly stripping ' characters; 0.6.7 fixes that error. / The album info dialog now only displays those tracks that are picked to be ripped.

I would probably have liked the program, if CNET gave it to me, CNET gets a 0 out of 5 for this, if they are going to have a download.com, then MAKE SURE PEOPLE CAN DOWNLOAD!

Selecting the file(s) to convert, and the output location, require use of the menu; users should be able to do this via graphics in the window! Language used is too technical and confusing for the average user!

Well, I've dowload the thing in order to convert wma from a CD into fimp3's files. It wasn't the result i've expected, first i've happy cause all the file had the tag of MP3 files, but after listeni ng to them there was nothing but "ssshhhrrrrhhssshhhhh". See, it doesn't work...
