• Much better than other Post-It programs I've tried

  Pros

  This program does just what I want it to do - place Post-Its on the screen, choose to have them permanently on top or hidden, and save and store them (even the deleted ones). You can choose the priority and type of each note, and also change fonts / colours / styles etc. <p>Note that the networking capability for sending messages between client PCs is only available with the full edition.

  Cons

  Would like more options for where to place the program's toolbar - I put it on one side of my desktop, but then I sometimes catch it with the mouse and it opens up and blocks the rest of my windows. This is only a minor gripe.

  The notes are clean and offer quite a few options. Its network functions installed easily and found its sibling clients without any hassle. So far so good...

  Cons

  BUT! The description above touts that this is a most complete FREE program of its type...and lists its Network capabilities. NOTE! The network part is NOT FREE. 30 days for the server only! then its $65. Not too bad if you have to have this function but far from FREE. While I liked the program I won't buy it simply because it suckered me in with a "FREE" program that needs money to do what it says it does.

  Easy to set up. It will locate the client computers whereas most software asks you to identify the IP Address manually. I liked this feature A LOT because it is fast and easy! I tried 5 or 6 similar applications before I found this one and immediately liked it. I can quickly retrieve notes from other people in the office while I am on the phone. I can reply to that sender or everyone on-line.

  Cons

  Tech support is non-existent by phone and slow by e-mail, but they will get back within a day or so. Not a big deal unless you become dependent on it (as we have). It has spoiled us.

  We use this at our corporate office as a means to leave messages to one another. Much more efficient than IMs in that messages are archived. Very user-friendly and far more efficient that writing paper notes.

• A good office / LAN server-based messaging application

  We used a peer to peer messaging application previously, which was working well, until our department was split up over different virtual LANS. This meant that a server-based application was the only way to go. After trialling NetNote for a few weeks, it seemed to be exactly what we were looking for, and now that we have upgraded to a full license, the entire department are in instant touch.

  I don't know if I was using this wrong -- I don't think so -- but all I wanted was to put some sticky notes up on my desktop, and this thing was trying to go all Outlook on me. Not recommended for people looking for a simple app to do a simple job.

  I had the software downloaded in our office and once I got everyone up and running they hated it when our server's temporaty license ran out. EVERYONE wanted it back!! Now when I throw a note away I can get it back. I can leave 20 notes on my desk top and not have a mess. I write a note and get a confirmation and then follow up. I can personalize them too. Invaluable once you start using them.

  This product really improves the efficiency of my veterinary practice. We use it to improve interoffice communication without running all over the practice. We especially like the way it integrates with the Avimark software and really minimizes the need to cut and paste or use post-it notes on terminals. Would recommend to anyone running a network, especially veterinarians using the Avimark software.

  NetNote is an excellent productivity and efficiency tool. No more chasing people down across the office to give them a note. Integration features allow interactivity with other programs. The technical support is unparalleled. This is a feature rich program, but its easy to use.
