The app is free to download, but full access requires a subscription to a pay-TV service. While some content is available for free, it is limited, with non-subscribers able to view only a few episodes of select shows after a delay. The NBC App also includes features like real-time local and national news streaming and closed captioning for all video content. Overall, it offers a robust solution for streaming NBC content on-the-go.
