The purpose of mVT Service is to detect early vision changes related to retinal diseases which is critical for the expedient treatment of these diseases and better patient outcome.The Home Vision MonitoringApp(mVT) is an FDA Cleared Ophthalmic Medical Device, available on an Apple iPad, iPhone, or iPod. Patients test twice a week and any change in vision function will trigger an Alert to their eye-care professional, allowing for earlier assessment and possible therapy.The mVT Service is intended for the detection and characterization of central three degrees metamorphopsia (visual distortion) in patients with maculopathy, including age-related macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease, and as an aid in monitoring disease factors causing metamorphopsia.
