MyTunesRSS is your personal media server. Access the media from any internet PC.

MyTunesRSS is your personal media server. Access your music, movies, TV shows and photos from any internet PC or mobile device. There is a native app available in the AppStore for the iPhone and iPad. You can subscribe to RSS feeds and create M3U or XSPF playlists for anything in your library. Play your music right inside the browser with a Flash player. You can create multiple user accounts, assign permissions, download quotas and more. Use simple watch folders or iTunes and iPhoto library sources. Upload new music to your server through the web interface. Create new language sets or themes for the user interface or even complete new client applications with the MyTunesRSS remote API. Share your favorite music on Facebook, Twitter and the Last.FM community.

Setting it up the first time was a bit confusing, but only because I don't know anything about networks, etc. However, the author has been very quick to help me with every step, and the forum members are very generous and fast with their help. After I got it set up and working (which took only a few hours), I've never had any problems with it. If you want to share all or just a few of your iTunes libraries or tracks, this is a great app at a very reasonable price with excellent support.

This is a great app, The interface is great(the app and generated web page) and its sweet. Highly recomended By the way the xml file is the info on the songs in the library

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />this program was great for streaming music to the psp. a great option seeing as space is limited. i was able to create playlilsts in itunes MyTunesRSS turned my entire library into a webpage to browse through and created RSS feeds of the playlist, you can also do individual songs or artists. Video support is great as well, though no playback on the psp yet. you can turn MyTunesRSS on and go on vacation, as long as you have wifi, you can listen to your entire library through your psp 100's of miles away. the thing is that you must set up your router for port forwarding, there is a link on the developers site to help with the setup. after that its a breeze!!! i have about 8 friends who stream music off of my library through their psp's. Awesome stuff!

The product per se does all it says flawless. It gets even better, if you tweak it a little, so you can make it available trough the internet. Just open a few ports, tell your friends your address and voilÃƒÂ¡, now they can all See, listen and download your tunes! Cheers, we should all support this great little app. Best regards.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Had to update Java from Apple, change the Java prefs to the new version, then the server ran. After that I had a problem with the server accessing the iTunes data which the author fixed by email in about 2 hours! Pretty good service for free. I'm now able to stream music from my iTunes library to my PSP, and I assume to my computer at work. I'll try that tomorrow. Very cool!
