Useful & Simple
wildtrack- Pros
- Cons
- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
So far I'm using it for day-planning. Provides a more visual display than a basic to-do list. Easy to learn. Makes sense.
Terrific Program
jimy147- Pros

- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I'm in a nursing program and this software has finally helped me figure out how to organize my studies. Very intuitive and you can work from the outline view or the map view (which I prefer). That's not to say that there's no learning curve (for example, you can reorganize your view within the map by easily moving things around, but often, upon adding new information, the map reverts to it's previous orientation. I've learned to plan out my maps a little better), but it's worth getting thru it because of the program's benefits. I'll be donating on this one.
Brilliant - Simple

- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
If you like your Mac software simple and to the point, it doesn't get any better than MyMind.

Other mindmap programs have depressed me with their complexitiy. Not to mention most of them are ugly as sin. Sebastian Krauss's program is straight to the point and elegant to use. Particularly delightful is the seamless transition from text outlining to mindmap and back again.

Incubator is another nice light mindmap with a few more features (linking to URLs and files) but Incubator requires a lot of mousing and clicking. Slightly more attractive maps.

Both of these programs are good choices.

I prefer MyMind, regardless of price (free vs. $50).

Unfortunately both developers seem to have gone AWOL. You can find Krauss's weblog at least. He's alive and kicking.

Excellent, but hope it's not dead

- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This is a *really* keen app with much going for it. What I like most is the ability to make a png of the map with a transparent background, open that with Photostickies and have the beautiful map appear on my desktop over whatever background is there. It looks gorgeous. I would GLADLY pay for this with a few tweaks/fixes. Come on, developer, keep it alive!!!
Very good App

- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
MyMind works without flaws and does all the things which bigger and more costly sw does as well. I had no stability problems what so ever, easy handling and sufficient lay-out functions. A few functions are placed at somewhat odd places, but you after the first time you'll know. Only thing which I would like to have improved is: print out options, like placing on the page, print over several pages, size of printed map etc. And free text-boxes, which is needed to include further information on the map. Support the authors and I hope they will keep going. Excellent work!

Multiple Parents?

- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have been looking for a simple to use idea outlining application that allows for the inclusion of multiple parents for a single or collection of nodes. This would be a great addition to this slick application.
