Lead your military mission to success by sniping and destroying German canons.

As a saboteur you are on an island in German occupied Norway. Main mission: blow up two canons. No linear missions, you can sneak and snipe all over the place. Like a real military mission: you are sent into the enemy territory without knowing where the enemies are. You even have to steal the needed explosives from the enemy. You also have to find what are the largest threats to your health, and eliminate them, one by one. And if you are up to it, try the new, challenging and very real sniper mode, where wind and heart rate must be considered to hit. You can now use tracer bullets, easier to snipe at long ranges. The game also has an arcade mode.Version 1.99e includes bug fixes and better installer.

Tough game to get started but nice graphics

Pros
The game is a challenge to get into before you are killed. Weapons are interesting but the instruction in their use is on the job training. It's interesting enough to keep trying but you have to scope out the enemy - not easy at all and they seem to have no problem shooting you. The winter scenes are pretty cool and a nice break for those of us in Florida.
Cons
You'll probably find yourself dead having never seen anything but tanks in the distance. Stay down and use the scope, use the trees and any cover you can find as you move toward your objective. I haven't accomplished anything yet so your on your own.
Summary
It's an interesting challenge that will frustrate you or entertain you, depending on your success.

Pros
Free form game, walk all over. Much long range sniping, and often it can be very tense. And very strange: It runs on my Acer Aspire One!
Cons
Long loading time. Not for everyone, you need to have patience and sneak around, snipers will love it. My son nearly kicked the PC out the window: Very difficult to run around hoping to shoot yourself out of problems.

This game I have played for a long time, and the latest updates have made it much better. Some weeks ago I bought one of these ridicules cheep netbooks and wonder what game to put on it. Well, this game is already running on a lot of Acer Aspire One mini PCs. And yes, it does work, even the heavy intro. What I like with this game is that you can play it again and again, and explore the large 3D island. I like the free form games, and even though this is not top notch graphic, it gets the atmosphere of a winter landscape right. And you really can snipe. Sometimes it seems too difficult, sometimes too easy, but it is generally OK. Try to play it in Arcade mode. It has a long loading time, but then it is a very large world infested with enemies ready to waste you? This game you either love or hate.

Genuine look and feel of Norwegian wilderness: desolate and eerie. Presence of enemy is always there, lurking somewhere to attack or (hopefully) to be attacked. It's not an arcade-enhanced joy ride; instead it approaches realism as accurately as possible for a pc game this size.
Cons
Game oftentimes doesn't open, in addition to taking way too long to load/ initialize in the first place: it's as if the game has its moods...like the weather!!!

This is another of these either you love or hates games. <p>First time I played it I felt completely lost. What was this game about? What are you supposed to do? Then you realise that it is up to you to find out. You have some main targets, destroy some canons, but you have to find out how to do it. And the game is non linear. You can walk wherever you want. <p>Which restricts the graphic, it is showing large areas of both open landscape and forests scattered around. To manage this in games is not yet perfected, simply because of the large task of showing all the details. You have probably noticed that many games have a restricted view, you play in a valley, or town, or the vegetation is very dense. In this game you some 600-800 meters, and can shoot/snipe at that range. So the look of the terrain is rather simple, but still, to be a winter landscape, it has all the needed details to make you feel you are in a very cold place. To me it gives the right atmosphere, the update is fast enough, even on older PCs. <p>Sometimes during the play of this game you think that this is more of simulation than a game, it can seem to be very difficult. To run around blast away ammo is not the way to play, you die in minutes. Here you have to think, use the terrain, use bushes and trees as cover. <p>And that is probably why this is not a game for everyone. You need patience. And you learn to be careful the hard way. Check the area in the scope before moving into it. Run for cover before trying a shootout. <p>In many games, due to their linear game play, the enemies are usually in front of you. Not in this game: Enemies often all around you. As in real military action they do not hesitate to shoot you in the back. <p>Anyway, I love this game, it is addictive, you sneak and snipe, and feel rather nervous all the time, ending in adrenaline kicks when the shooting starts. <p>I hope more games like this could be made, as we need varied types of games, not only games made for everyone. <p>At least this game can be played more than once.

After waiting about 10 minutes for the peice to load I was thrown into a world of super nintendo graphics, with thousands of copies of the same two solid trees and landscapes of nothing but white snow, lacking any detail. The whole sneeking around and killing the enemy is not possiable, giving that you can actually see the enemy, even as he shoots the shit out of you from some unknown location . Rather than find him its easier to run. The entire time I saw and killed one enemy who seemed to come from no where, tons more shot at me from who knows where, even with nothing but open ground for 200 yrd all around. Worst of all it takes a good 20 seconds to change weapons(which all look like broomsticks) i guess the character was smoking pot to get over his pre mission jitters on the flight. Just dont waste your time on this, its not worth it.
