Perfect on the go: the Munich SmartCity App

As part of an EU project, Munich is becoming a Smart City and the popular Mnchen App is becoming the Mnchen SmartCity App. For users, this means visual improvements and enhanced content, more user friendliness and new features to help you get around the city better than ever. A particularly innovative addition is the interactive city map with a connection to services from the MVG (Munich Transport Company) and MVV (Munich association of public transport companies), route planner and search function.

Call up the app to see where you stand when it opens, the home screen displays information about your current location such as the weather, current events or nearby attractions.

Interactive map

Indispensable to anyone who wants to get from A to B in a hurry in the interactive city map you can find public transport, MVG (Munich Transport Company) cycle hire and carshare services, and pedestrian paths. Departure boards and an integrated route planner make it easier to plan your journey, and the handy travel time comparison tool lets you compare routes by foot, bike or public transport.

Theres always something going on in the city display the days top events or use the redesigned event search to find events specifically by various categories.
