Moovit: Bus Times, Train Times & Live Updates APK for Android

Moovit brings you accurate real-time data about public transport lines, as well as bus and metro schedules, route planning, and service alerts, helping you choose the fastest routes. It's a polished app that supports most American cities and many urban areas in Europe, South America, and Australia.

Pros

Dynamic features: Moovit's appeal comes from its live line-arrival times, service alerts for when an accident or other incident causes a delay, intelligent trip planner that proposes viable alternative routes, and practical step-by-step navigation. With these features at your fingertips, you can travel more effectively, saving time and possibly even money, especially when visiting cities you've never been to before.

Great navigation: The neat interface with its straightforward features and playful icons packs high-quality maps that are easy to navigate -- moving, zooming in and out, and rotating are all responsive. The step-by-step navigation feature itself proves just as reliable and easy to follow.

Enhanced by an active community: You only have to check the integrated leaderboards (you get points for submitting transit information) to see that plenty of people use the app, and that through the constant information they submit, they make it better. While in navigation mode, you, too, can rate the ride, report how crowded and clean the vehicle is, and more.

Cons

Usefulness depends on location: The app doesn't provide information for all cities in the world but only for some, and though its support keeps growing, that doesn't change the fact that US users (for whom the app seems to have been developed) have more live map info and more real-time updates (not to mention static transport system maps) than users in other parts of the world.

Bottom Line

When it comes to public transportation, Moovit offers more information and features than Google Maps and wraps it all up in an engaging interface that's a pleasure to navigate. If you use public transport in the US or major European cities, you should definitely grab this app, which isn't only free to use, but also free from ads.

We are constantly working to make your public transit experience even better. We are always searching for better routes, updating new schedules, mapping out new stations, and working behind the scenes to make sure our app works smoothly.

Every update is carefully thought out by our team with your experience in mind.
