Most of his plug-ins are useless. He told one guy at RealBasic's discussion board to buy OpenAsMovieMBS when in fact he didn't need a special plugin in the first place. He suggested that I use his GammaMBS when in fact I didn't need any special plug-in. He told one guy to use his database plug-in to store and retrieve jpeg files when in fact he didn't need a special plug-in. Don't fall into his deception. If you want to use ImageMagick, you won't need his plug-in. You just need the freeware package from ImageMagick's website. And Christian won't even show you how to install ImageMagick even after you buy his plug-in.

These plugins make the development of sophisticated applications (in my case, educational software that demonstrates visual perceptual phenomena and simulates clinical vision tests) possible with REALbasic are worth every penny.

If you don't have MonkeyBread, you need to get it, and then look through all its functions and classes before starting any project. Monkeybread REALbasic plugin with it's 9000+ functions helps you put the final touch required by professional apps, it also lets you do a great number of things that simply can't be done with what comes in RBs box, like much better control over mac and win platforms environment and toolboxes. Finaly, the support is really efficient. If you feel a bit let down by RB, give a try MBS plugin, you won't be disapointed...

- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This plug-in collection is nearly prefect. If you use REAlbasic, then without a doubt, you should be using this also. It exposes much more of OS X than REALbasic does out of the box. The countless features and APIs will save you a ton of time so that you don't have to keep "reinventing the wheel". Most importantly, though, is the responsiveness of the developer. I've almost always gotten a response within hours (sometimes even minutes!). He has always been willing to come up with solutions for my needs and he continuously works to improve his product. Another significant thing is that the plug-ins contain much more complete versions of existing REALbasic features and classes. So if you need lower-level access to things like the clipboard, drag & drop, webkit, etc., then this will provide it for you.

It also does many things RealBasic does, but does them better. The support is also awesome too. The developer is extremely responsive to questions and will provide examples if you need a little extra help. Two words - Buy It!

It can do almost anything you could imagine that REALbasic doesn't already do. It even does some things that REALbasic DOES do, only MBS does it better! There is not one bad thing to be said about this. The documentation is great, and Christian provides lightning fast support on the mail list. Often problems are fixed and put on a prerelease within a day of finding them. If you ever thought RB was incomplete or lacking in certain areas - download this software now. You can be almost certain that what you're looking for is already implemented in the MBS plugin.
