Seriously? What's Pro about a program that only crashes when you use it?

Useless garbage. Run the program, choose the disk, choose the format, Crash. Tried several different formats, same thing. Buh bye.

Don'tcha just LOVE wasting time on other's incompetence? Might be worthwhile to TEST your software BEFORE putting it out there

Pros
Bought this to rip blu-ray discs. The ripper has worked just fine for all my discs so far although it is slow. This came bundled with a DVD ripper as well. When it works, it is really fast. It can rip most DVDs in 20 minutes or less.
Cons
My complaints are two-fold. First, the DVD ripper doesn't rip every DVD. I thought it my be due to encryption that is common on some Disney DVDs. But, I discovered that isn't always the case. The second complaint is when I raised this issue with the developer, I have never received a response. Their web-site is pathetic when it comes to support.
Summary
If you have a lot of DVDs like I do (more than I have blu-ray), then you will have to purchase another ripper to get the ones Modiac doesn't work with. I recommend Cucusoft. I have the ultimate edition and it has never failed although it is much slower than the Modiac DVD Ripper.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on May 19, 2013<p/>One other thing, each time I run my Cucusoft ripper, I have to re-register the Modiac Ripper the next time I run it. Strange...
At $50.00 a little steep but Blue Ray part works.

Pros
Blue Ray converts to various formats w/o issues. Come with bundle that has std DVD converter and Media, aka flv, to various formats converter. Video and audio on DVD ripper sync's well w/o needing to fuss with any settings as with other rippers I've used.
Cons
Takes alot of resources. Std DVD converter did not converts some of my std DVD's for unknown reason. Other std DVD converteres worked on same media. Media converter has limited options but seems to work well. All seem to take alot of time to convert.
Summary
If you must have your Blue-Ray DVD's on your IPAD2, like I do, then it's worth the $50.00 bucks.

Really impressed at how it is running my i7 at 80% of max on all eight cores

Had to look about to find the setting that allows me to get conversion not at 720 p but 1080p
