Used Mixtube: Free Offline Music for Android?
Editors’ Review
Mixtube: Free Offline Music, developed by Demus LTD, is an Android app that keeps your personal music accessible without constant connectivity. It lets you import and organize local tracks, play them from device storage, and manage playlists with quick controls. The app includes a built-in equalizer and home screen widgets for faster access, and it supports background playback for locked-screen listening, with a focus on battery-friendly operation.
What audio formats does it support?
You can play MP3, FLAC, WAV, AAC, APE, and MIDI files directly, so archival lossless tracks sit alongside everyday downloads without conversion. That format breadth means high-resolution files remain intact during playback and you can consolidate collections from multiple sources. Compatibility requires Android 7.0 or newer, so device age matters when importing large libraries or recent file types.
How straightforward is library navigation and control?
The app presents music by artist, album, and folder, and it includes search and basic sorting to help you find tracks quickly. The layout keeps core controls visible, reducing time spent digging through nested menus. Shortcuts and notification integration give you quick access to playback from outside the main interface, so routine tasks like queuing songs do not force a full app launch.
Who gets most value from this player?
If you favor keeping files locally, collectors and listeners who store lossless tracks get the clearest benefit from format coverage. Casual listeners who prefer simple device playback also gain from the on-device focus, though some users report the presence of advertisements during use. Demus's lineup of related audio tools provides context if you want a similar utility from the same developer family.
Pros
- Plays lossless formats (FLAC, WAV) as well as MP3 and AAC
- Built-in high-quality equalizer with customizable presets
- Background playback with lock screen and notification controls
- Library browsing by artist, album, and folder for quick access
Cons

- Requires devices running Android 7.0 or newer
Bottom Line
A practical gateway for device-first listeners
Mixtube is a pragmatic option if you prefer managing music stored on your device, offering technical breadth alongside accessible controls. Expect a trade-off in listening polish because advertisements appear during regular use. If you value direct file control and broad format compatibility over relying on cloud services, this app provides a clear entry point into on-device music management on Android hardware.
