  I finally found the solution with a "freeware" program called ICONOID. It works great and automatically hides your icons, cursor and plenty more. Just set it and forget it. Works great !!! I've tried them all and ICONOID is the best. ***** : )

  once you get this where you want it you must exit the program completely to get icons back. much better freeware out there. I would not recommend this at all.

  The instructions are so scant as to be useless. When I opened the program, it simply left a blue rectangle that covered two of my icons. The only way to get rid of the rectangle was to restart the computer. I also could not remove it completely from my hard drive. Users beware!

  This program helped me with hiding some stuff on my desktop...although i wish it was password protected it still works....i suppose it doesnt matter tho...no one knows its there!
