This is that Mac afterall and this stuff shouldn't be that difficult! I was albe to load it right up, log right into a room and immediatly start chatting and downloading file within 5 minutes of downloading Minerva. It's never crashed and I haven't had a single issue. A manual would be nice because I can't figure out how to use the XDCC browser, but it's no big deal. I hardly EVER register software, but this one got my $10! :) Thanks ChipperSoft!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I chose this product over ircle, Snak, Babble, ShadowIRC, and X-Chat Aqua. It's main competitor is iRC (Mice iRC) and that's about it. I've been using it since it's Alpha stage. It's a really good client, the bugs have been minor and do get fixed often. I can't wait to see 1.x Beta 14, the current release is completely stable, I've had it going for about 3 days now and it hasn't crashed on me yet. The issue regarding slow Input Text field has only occured for me when I was connected to two servers at once and had multiple channels open on each and then opened a channel list for the second server. Quiting and Restarting Minerva seems to have fixed that issue. It seems that Version Tracker has listened to the author, he recommended the app to me in early development cause I was having problems with X-Chat Aqua and *censored*X. Version Tracker didn't put the description in correctly at first, looks like they have updated this, glad they listened. It truly is not a "small" IRC client, it's a GREAT client. It shares minor code with Athena, but otherwise is a completely knew product and is not meant to be a new version of Athena, but does work well for anyone and I do mean anyone who likes good Cocoa apps and needs a good IRC client without a lot of features that you may never use. Enjoy it, register it, unlike ircle, you won't feel like you wasted your money.
