• Don't declare an uninstall if you don't supply one

  I was unfortunate that the PDFs I was trying to convert were locked but even when I couldn't use the product, the "uninstall" that was declared did not exist.

  I assumed that converting PDF to Text would leave me with Page 1-n in vertical order. No, this tool actually puts the pages side by side. Yes, so on line 1 you have the line 1 from Page 1, a few spaces and then line 1 from Page 2. Why couldn't the pages be seperated vertically? Horizontal seperation is completely impractical. Leaves me with a completely unuseable file. Maybe this is a problem with the PDF file but since PDF clearly defines page seperation, there's no reason this tool should work this way.

  with acrobat pdf files which already give the option to save the file as text it works (pointless but does work) on the acrobat files which only give the option to save as pdf (and text extraction is needed)it doesn't do anything. Nor can it cope with acrobat files with a password, even when you have the password and can open the file

  This software uses XPDF's GPL'ed open source and it's a violation of copyright law. CNET should remove it as soon as possible.

  This seemed no different to just hightlighting all the text in a PDF file, and then copying and pasting it into a text or Word file or whatever. In fact it was more complicated.
