The link to MS works.

After reading comments from the kids and hackers, who have never had real education in software design and professionalism, and only know how to whine and complain, I tried this myself. I chatted with "Pearl" (quotes theirs), the live chat technician could only offer 2013 version for $499.00. There is nothing free on the MS site, except patches and updates.
Summary
One has to delve into the free software sites, and deal with malware, to receive this type of software for free. Its the nature of the beast; you get that for which you pay.

Microsoft needs to introduce Visual Basic 6.0 back to the market ! Nobody likes .NET Framework dependent programs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VB6 is the most powerful programming language!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We do not like VB .NET or the dependence of .NET Framework! Also, we will not port anything from VB6 to VB.NET. Visual Vasic 6.0 is here to stay!
