This solution demonstrates the addition of a custom Microsoft Office Communicator 2005 tab utilizing a sample Web application called Contoso Project Tracker. Setting up tabs involves adding a registry key to a few software policy hives for Microsoft Office Communicator, and then deploying a graphic image and an XML configuration file that Microsoft Office Communicator uses to display a tab image and content.

This download includes a fully functional sample application with source code, code walkthrough, and supporting documentation. The sample application is provided in C# and Visual Basic .NET. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
