The Microsoft Agent Character Editor enables you to compile character animations for use with Microsoft Agent. The program lets you define your animations by importing Windows bitmap images and setting their duration. You also have the option to include branching, sound effects, and speaking overlays.

In addition, this program lets you define a character's name and description, as well as output options that include text-to-speech capabilities, synthesized voice output, pop-up menu support, and word balloon design. Version 2.00.0.2124 includes unspecified updates.

Not easy for beginners

- easy to create animations for character using BMP frames - easy to assign character states to animations - easy to save finished character to ACS file and load this file in your own software via Microsoft Agent ActiveX component

- old and complex interface: tree nodes -> tab sheets

It can be useful if you want to add helper-characters with funny behavior animations to your software

At first I had problems using it.It actually took me ages before I could use it.It is NOT easy,and that enoyed me a lot.In the end,when you get used to it and know what to do.....than it can be good result.But be patience.
