• I Like MicroBiz POS Overall

  Does everything we need. Ring up sales and take returns. Run promos. Manage inventory. Order and receive vendor shipments. Run reports, send financial data to QuickBooks Online

  Cons

  Hard to use import tools. Missing employee time clock.

  Summary

  Overall a really nice POS system. More features than other pOS systems tested.

  lots of features, can do any type of POS transaction good support QuickBooks POS integration is easy to set up and saves time Very affordable Runs on PCs

  No loyalty program can slow down when adding lots of products POs are not very ueasy to enter quickly

• Best magento POS

  Pros

  Great Magento ERP/Inventory management solution. Includes a full set of POS features PLUS integrated inventory management. So, I did not have to pay for a separate inventory management module. the POS blows away the other POS plug ins that I tested. This is developed by a POS company - and it shows!

  Cons

  There are still a few things that need to be pushed back to Magento. Also, there is no shipping directly integrated with MicroBiz, so I have to ship through Magento.

  Summary

  If you have a store and a Magento site, definitely check out MicroBiz

  Pros

  I have been using this for a few weeks, and I like it. We used to run out business using a simple POS system and did not make the effort to use the system for inventory management. MicroBiz has allowed us to do purchasing and receiving using the same system as our point of sale. Saves tons of time! Also like the reporting - I can use screens and filters to find what I want.

  Cons

  Sometimes the receipts print too long (wastes paper). Occasionally credit cards do not process.

  Summary

  Good combo of front register and back room inventory management tools.

• Really Good Repair Shop POS

  Pros

  Allows me to run my service/repair department as well as sell merchandise at the front end register. I can print full page invoices and quotes. It also pretty cool that I can allow a customer to pay for the services as well as buy other stuff in the same transaction. I also like how its mobile - I can work from home or allow my employees to used an iPad for ringing up sales.

  Cons

  I wish it integrated with my accounting software. However they say an integration with Quickbooks is coming.

  Summary

  Really well designed software. I looks at a bunch of other software, but MicroBiz offered the best mix of symplicity and features. Highly recommend.

• Great POS system

  Pros

  After searching for months, we choose MicroBiz for our two stores. MicroBiz had a lot of features that all the basic iPad systems lacked - such as the ability to have different sales tax rates for our two stores, stock look ups at the other store from the register and store transfers btw locations. The instant multistore inventory update is awesome - as our old iPad system was not really designed for multiple locations. We have a lot of items that come in different sizes and colors - so associated products feature is also great. They were able to import our inventory and customers from our old system. After getting trained up and watching some of the videos on the site, support has been by really good. Its done primarily through email - which actually has worked out quite well as we have a written record to go back and reference. The support team is very responsive and definitely knows about the needs of a retail business.

  Cons

  We do not have an ecommerce site yet - and some of the screens have settings for the website integration which we do not use. This can get a little confusing at times. Also, wish there was an integration with our Xero accounting software. They say it's being 'evaluated' but could not pin them down on a date.

  Summary

  Overall, really happy with our decision. Switching systems is a hassle but so far its been worth it.

• Good Vape Shop POS

  Pros

  Has a few cool features for vape shops. First, you can set up products with variants - so you can quickly sell items that have different attributes - such a liquids that come in different sizes, flavors and strengths. It also has multistore inventory - so I can check to see if items are available in my other location w/o having to call. My staff loves the POS screens - easy to use with lots of option.

  Cons

  It does take some time to set up teh backend - as you have to set up the different types of products. I also wish it has an employee time clock - but I am told that this is coming.

  Summary

  My old system made me enter separate products for each item. The ability to use variant products records makes it much easier to manage inventory. Really like MicroBiz so far.

• Great for repair shops

  Pros

  works really well for repair shops. we can check in an item with the customer record, add parts and services and collect a deposit. Can also print quotes and invoices. Also has all the things we need at front register such as holds, discounts, split payment, etc.

  Cons

  wish it had a loyalty or frequent buyer program. has a work around to give discounts to top customers but wish it was a better. They have been adding lots of features and say that this is planned.

  Summary

  Simple to use system that runs our front register and repair department. Pretty easy to learn.
