• Made Movies Unplayable in iTunes

  Pros

  Finds lots of movie data based on title of file.

  Cons

  Ruined 45 of 50 files run through it. Luckily, I had the original DVDs as backups, but this program made files that used to play fine through iTunes stop playing - black screen, no sound, ... just a black screen.

  Good for tagging many media files.

  Cons

  No way to save data as you work, before final writing to files. Occasionally crashed several times as I used it, causing me to lose much info that I spent much time carefully entering.

  If it crashes in the middle, all your data is lost, it doesn't save it to a temp file while you are working.

I can't even begin to add up all the time it has saved me. It sometimes can't get the correct movie if the title is common, i wish you could have more than 11 results, but that is the only problem I have run into. Hopefully tv show support is next!

I wish it could handle TV shows, and I wish it would peek into the existing metadata for info about the file. It seems to crash a lot if the queue gets too long, but that's ok - the price is right :)

  ...description<br />This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />With the Apple TV, I want all my Handbrake-converted movies to show up with cover art and a description when I'm scrolling through my movies, and this handy utility makes that simpler than any other I've tried (and most are pretty primitive at this point - my usual tool for changing metadata, MediaRage, is late to the party on this new pressing need.
