The accuracy depends entirely on your magnetic sensor (magnetometer). Note that it might be affected by electronic equipment (TV, PC, Microwave) that generates their own electromagnetic waves. The app notifies you using vibrations when a significant sudden change is detected in the magnetic field strength. You can spot the Delta value to detect slow changes in the magnetic field value.

Metal detector cannot detect gold, silver and coins made of copper. They are classified as non-ferrous metal that has no magnetic field. Only metal coins can be detected using this Metal Detector application
