Message Sniffer is an advanced anti-spam filter for ISPs, network security providers, and business e-mail systems. The engine uses advanced pattern recognition, machine learning, and adaptive IP Reputation technologies to accurately identify spam and other e-mail borne malware. The cross-platform, high performance engine runs on Windows, Linux and BSD systems. A professionally managed database is provided by subscription and is continuously updated by spam analysts and intelligent monitoring systems. The installer includes a windows command line utility that can be integrated with a wide range of email servers and filtering systems. For Linux and BSD systems full source code is available. Customized OEM versions of the engine are available for appliance and embedded systems developers. A 30-day free trial rulebase subscription available through our Web site.

Version 3.0 uses a fully multi-threaded client / server engine, real-time collaborative IP reputation system (GBUdb), advanced monitoring and configuration options, and a highly optimized engine for even greater efficiency and stability. Technical support unacceptable - Filtering inconsistent

Blocks some SPAM messages.
Cons
Cannot tweak it. Their filtering took our servers down twice and no technical support available. NO MATTER THE DIRE NEED! I have two years experience with this product and will not renew.

As ISP we have tried many spam filter options. This is by far the best. We gone from approx. 100 spam and 1-5 falsepositive a day to 3-4 spam a day in our main mailbox and perhaps 1-2 false in a week FOR ALL OUR CLIENTES!!! <p>Also the filter is fast, take much less CPU resources than other filters. <p>There support is fast and they know what they talk about. Price is very fair. <p> <p>Try it - you will be happy you did!!!

Your mailserver need to be able execute spamsniffer and put a path for the message file on the commandline for the system to work. (and act on a return code). However plugin for some mailservers exists.

Detects 99% of spam, you will go from hundreds to less than 2 most likely per day on one email address. False positives are a thing of the past (legit emails make it thru, unlike most other spam filters) VERY up to date scanning engine, is updated every few hours by actual people. Affordable price
Cons
Can be hard to implement, if your mail server doesn't have filtering capabilities built in, but they are working on this.
