• My favorite music collection software gets better and better!

  After testing some similar software represented here, I enjoy Melomania even better than before. Very professional, friendly and thought-out user interface is a kind of miracle among the sea of worthless software on today's market. I'm happy that I found this software and use it in my everyday life.

  Pros

  Melomania has a clean interface. No clutter like you may expect from a well-designed music (any-) "management" software. <p>I has all the tools you need to manage your music collection: filters, tagging facilities, group- and search options .... even a lent media tracking facility. You can download covers and lyrics from the Internet, you can export your collection to formats like Excel, HTML etc. Melomania makes management of your music collection an operation from your armchair.<p>To me it is the Swiss army knife of managing my growing music collection.

  Cons

  Not nearly a con, but I personally like dark interfaces, so a skinning option is on my wishlist.

• Perfect to biografies, discographies, catalog files, tags&rename... All in one!

  This program is the best music manager! It can work like a music collector, mp3 colector and tag&rename tool. All in one! We can manager catalog analogic music (from vinyl or tape), or digital music from all formats (ape, flac, mpc, mp3, wma, ogg, wv, etc.). Melomania can get all information inside tags from digital tracks (artist name, album, year, cover, oficial webpage, label, etc.) or get it from internet (freedb, amazon.com, google, etc.), is easy to work and manage discographies. We can rename, copy or move files, we can play directly from Melomania tracks or albums, we can copy or move an album to specific folder. Is easy to add covers, from tag, from album folder or from internet, and we can play what we see. The navigator menu is like explorer, we can filter the information by artist, genre, year, medium, etc. and we have all albums in order by year and we can see the cover of all albuns to help us to select any album. The interface is easy and look's good. All days I know new features... This program is much more that we can imagine.<p>Este programa é realmente surpreendente! Faz praticamente tudo o necessário para gerir ficheiros, facilitando uma adequada catalogação de cd/dvd/hdd, e gestão de biografias e discografias. Quase todas as suas funções estão automatizadas ou facilitam significativamente a manutenção de ficheiros e discografias. Este é um programa que depois de se compreenderem as suas reais capacidades é impossível ignora-lo. Só experimentando...!

  Pros

  there are not a lot of serious music collection programs. <p>a serious music program can handle hundreds and thousands of albums With good stability. <p>It's customized enough to let you build your collection by your taste. <p>It gives a proper place to the albums pictures. <p>The reason I have chosen melomania is that it gives all above and 2 more important things, <p>One is the excellent ability to connect to allmusic guide and download all the album info and picture. <p>And two, the clean and elegant interface.
