Mei: AI for Relationships for iOS

Texting someone you like as more than a friend and wondering if they feel the same way? Its sometimes hard to tell from texts whether someone likes you romantically or theyre just being nice.

Mei uses AI (artificial intelligence) thats been trained on millions of conversations to help decode your text conversations. Mei (pronounced May), which is also the name of our AI assistant, has analyzed more pick-up lines, flirty texts and friend-zoning conversations than any person has. In this first release of Mei on iOS, the AI will analyze a conversation you export from WhatsApp and give you the probability that the person is texting you romantically. If she detects a major difference in your personalities, shell even give you advice on how to bridge the communication gap. But stay tuned, Mei will do a lot more in future releases!

A lot. It will cost you $8.99 to ask Mei once. Its expensive because Mei took a lot of money to create.

What do I do?

Simply download Mei and export your desired WhatsApp threads into Mei. Buy credits and hit run. Once the analysis is complete, youll receive a score from 0% to 100% showing how likely it is that the contact has a crush on you and advice on how to better relate to them.

How does it work?

Users of our apps have labelled countless text message conversations as either romantic or not romantic. With enough conversations and labels, Mei uses neural network models to look at the patterns of words and other features in your text conversation to see how much it resembles romantic or non-romantic conversations in our database.

What advice does she give?

We all have different personalities, which can affect how we communicate. If Mei senses major differences in personality between you and your contact, shell offer some tips on how to bridge the potential communication gap. For example, if they seem more adventurous than you, Mei will suggest you to try new things together. Or if they seem like the rebel-type, shell suggest you think outside the box.

Does she understand languages other than English?

Mei can analyze conversations in almost every language. But her models were originally trained in English, so she will be less proficient in other languages at first. As more non-English users use Mei, her models will start to improve, and Mei will become more accurate.

What if I dont text on WhatsApp? Or with my crush?

Meis not going to be helpful at the moment, but were working on exports from other messaging apps and our own messaging app. Also, in upcoming releases, Mei will be offering even more advice, and for more than just romantic relationships, so stay tuned!
