• Dreadful. A User Experience Nightmare. DO NOT BUY

  Pros

  It is, with substantial effort and CONSTANT saving, possible to run a worship service with this software. Easy to import PPT slides and images.

  Cons

  Baffling to experts, impossible for beginners. Crashes constantly. I am a user interface expert, and it's all I can do to figure out why they made this piece of junk look and work the way they did. Seriously, the worst software I've used in 20 years.

  Summary

  DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTWARE. Use PowerPoint or don't project anything before you use this.

• Run Away!!

  Pros

  They are giving us a full refund. Also, if they ever get it working as advertised, it will be great. Great setup and ideas, HOWEVER....

  Cons

  We have had a horrible experience with this product. Countless crashes, tons of lost data, more bugs than I've ever seen in any software, countless broken promises from developers, several new builds that have the same problems as their predecessors. I hate to hurt their business, but this is a TERRIBLE product!

  Summary

  We are switching to ProPresenter. I'm grateful for the many hours the MediaShout tech support people spent with us to try to fix all of the many, many problems, but we would be downright foolish to stay with this software. After 6 months of sticking it out, we're finally jumping ship!<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Dec 21, 2011<p/>IMPORTANT NOTE: It was MediaShout for Mac that gave us these problems. As far as I know, the PC version is still great!

  I guess it's what I'd expect from such a small team of developers. VERY overpriced considering the development hours that likely went into it. Unfortunately the "competition" is even worse and right now it's the only solution on the market.

  Pros

  The features included with Version 4 are great for linear or non-linear use. Last minute changes are simple and the types of media played through MediaShout make it a PowerPoint Killer.

  Cons

  It does require a computer with powerful specs.

• Fantastic option for our church

  Pros

  This is a great and powerful software that's easy to use. It allows us to do all the things that larger churches with huge AV budgets do, and we can do it for $400. Great support, great sales staff, overall, great product.

  Cons

  Nothing, we've been extremely happy with it so far.

  Summary

  It does lyrics, bible verses, announcements, slide shows, videos, web content, outlines, our entire service can be set up and run from one computer. It's amazing!

  The easy visual user interface of MediaShout is a strong addition to the presenter's arsenal. There is a reason it has stood the test of time.

  Still waiting on the Mac version, in process.
