• MSCOMCTL.OCX is missing

  It was a good program when I had an older version.

  Cons

  I could not get this program to work because an .ocx file was missing from the setup file. This program worked when I had older version of Windows 7. Since I got a new machine, presumably with a newer version of Windows 7, I cannot get it to work.

  More units than any one person could possibly use! Many are useful, some are frivolous.

  There is no Help:About for documentation on the software. We don't know who it came from or how correct it is. <p> <p> <p>Webroot reported that a Dialer Trojan is bundled with this software. <p> <p> <p>"Kitten Free Sex Dialer may disconnect your computer from your local Internet provider and reconnect you to the Internet using an expensive toll or international phone number. Dialers can accrue significant phone charges and can run in the background, hiding their presence." <p> <p> <p>"Kitten Free Sex Dialer generally propagates itself using dialog boxes, various social engineering methods, through a java scripting error, or is dropped by a Trojan horse. Usually dialers are bundled with various, free software programs."

  It does what it is supposed to do, and it does it fast. The interface is very clean and straightforward. There heaps of units, including many obscure units and some used only in certain countries.

  Cons

  The units are not categorised (temperature, length etc) and there are so many types of units that if you don't know the name of the unit you want, it will be hard to locate it. Typing the first few letters of the unit name will automatically bring you to the nearest name in the very long list, but the list is not reduced to make it easier to find. <p> <p> <p>There is also no explanation as to what each unit is eg if you clicked on Hefnerkerze or Bisquare Inch as the source unit, you may not know what it measures, even if the destination units are shown. The list units is laways sorted alphabetically. Just for academic reasons, it'll be nice to sort hte units in terms of magnitude. <p> <p> <p>This program does not lend itself well to those who may want to just browse thru it and see the myriad of units available. This limits the program as a learning tool, but to be fair, in no way does it hamper the core functionality of the program, which is conversion.
