MatrixGL is a public domain OpenGL screensaver based off of The Matrix. It does not simply copy the effect used in the movie - it is composed of individual streams instead of just a large matrix of glyphs.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Brilliant screen saver, very well done. I'd rather watch MatrixGL than Matrix Revolutions! Paying for a screen saver is questionable, especially considering all the amazing screen savers out there that are free (and far more original than MatrixGL).
My favorite Screen Saver now

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
the extra options (color shifting, picture/movie backgrounds, log file or random messages in a trail, etc.) make this much better than redpill and much less limited to "only matrix lovers" as a market. Purists may disagree but I love it.
Would be nice if the transitions between pictures could be smoother though...
