This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />These idiots have been on this version for a year and a half..and they claimed six months ago they would have a new version soon.by far the worst support I've ever run into. Not only is it just e-mail support, now you have to log in to ask a question. Bugs? There are still a ton of them. Like the record master fader does not work for one, and this thing crashes on me at least 4 time a night on a 4 hour gig... I'm glad someone is MT Pro is still around, but these guys are clowns. That same holds true for Music Time. Used to be a pretty good program.. try printing guitar tab.....

Still works on OS9 quite well (but who uses that anymore anyway) Too many bugs to make it a serious piece of s/w and most of them are serious. The ones I reported to the company 9 months ago I doubt will EVER be resolved. Buy at your peril, you have been warned.

Moved over to Cubase but found myself doing more midi than audio and wanted a "simpler" program so I upgraded my Pro4 to MtPro. Its still the same in OSX which is good and bad I suppose as there are several bugs that need to be worked out and the interface is dull. Interface was good in the "old days" but needs to be brought up to date just a little. There is no indication which channel is playing so you get no visual indications to help you select/deselect tracks. There are bugs in the song list load (they know and say they are working on it) and there seems to be a bug that doesn't re-synchronise a track if you deselect and reselect it again. All in all though, I'm glad I spent the money. The interface is old and there are bugs, plus there are better midi editors out there but assuming they DO fix the bugs they are working on then I'll keep using it over Cubase., however it's been a long time since the last release so I don't hold out too much hope.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I like the features this little program has that no other, not even the big guys like Protools, Digital Performer, or Logic have. This would be the Step Edit with the key board feature. This is a great feature, and if you know anything about music theory, then this little feature makes it a breeze to build great drum patterns or create layered chord beds in know time. Version 6.8.3 has been very stable for me.
