• Excellent Software. Easy to use, Lots of Cool features (for advanced users)

  Pros

  I can convert my MS Word documents to PDF so fast, and they come out perfect. The PDF that is created also has a table of contents, which is great. The links are activated, and the PDF is text searchable. I love it. Its pretty expensive compared to some of the other tools, and it only does MS Word. I have tried other less expensive tools and they actually repaginate my documents, moving paragraphs and sentences and upsetting my formatting. I cant have that, and it drives me nuts! That's why I really like Makepdf. Lastly, I dont use it much, but on a couple of occasions, it was great to merge a couple of PDF's that I had.

  Cons

  The only con I think it has is using the merging of PDF's and other advanced features can be a bit confusing. Otherwise, this software rocks!

  This program crashes Word EVERY time it is used... I mean Every SINGLE TIME. Tried to get technical support and never a response. Overall, I say that this is a very poorly written program and not worth the money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROGRAM TO ANYONE!

  This piece of garbage software does not work. Furthermore, itloads into Word as a menu item and I cannot remove it. I really appreciate it when others warn me about downloads. Here's my favor to you - move on and find something else.

• Trial Version Works a Treat!

  I wanted a cheap, reliable program to distribute regular reports and newsletters, and was sick of other trial versions adding their own advertising. Not only is the trial version stable (even when integrated with MS Word!) but it's easy to use and has NO ADVERTISING LINKS! I will recommend this product to anyone who asks, and will be advising the company to purchase the full version since it's remarkably cheap too!

  The main problem I've had with PDF conversion programs it that they're WAY too slow. MakePDF is able to handle documents in excess of 100 pages without any major slowdowns. The only problem I've found is that it doesn't handle breaks (line breaks and page breaks) very well, and translates these into odd characters (e.g., page breaks get converted to Yen symbols). Other than that, it's great, and far better than anything else out there: the security options are good, the formatting/bookmark options work great (except for the aforementioned symbol substitution, as most people would use page breaks for new sections that would likely start with a bookmark, meaning that bookmarks in the Bookmark pane are preceded by symbols), and the concatenation and batch conversion options are really useful, and something not commonly offered by conversion programs.
