You can use MagicDesktopSwitch to set your Desktop Image to your current screen saver or to return your Desktop Image back to normal. MagicDesktopSwitch acts like a screen-saver switch for your background. MagicDesktopSwitch only stays open while you make your selection from the dialog box. Then it quits until you open it again to switch your desktop back to normal. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

It works beautifully!

Pros
It works. I can use it with many different screen savers - including video. I have it set right now to the LotsaWater Screensaver. It gives a new meaning to the term "aqua interface". My wife uses the pictures screensaver as her background.
Cons
No complaints here. It's simple and it works.
Summary
It's like chemistry for my Mac. I can combine this app with a really cool screensaver (like a video screensaver plugin) and the normal OS X screensaver preference pane to make some really unique and impressive effects. My friends ask where they can download it. They're always bummed when I say, "Oh, it's just for the Mac." :P

Pros
You click the icon to bring up the dialog box, select ScreenSaver, and it plays your current screensaver as a backdrop. It doesn't use any extra background memory (which is vital on my older PowerBook G4) and helps make my computer look more pimpin'.
Cons
What's not to like about it? It does exactly what it says it does. It would be cool to have an option to have it automatically start up at login.

It's simple and it works. It adds a little class to my desktop background.
