Unlike previous versions that were console ports, the 2003 version of Madden NFL was developed specifically for the PC, and it shows. The game's artificial intelligence is outstanding. Running the same offensive play over and over is no longer a solid strategy, as the computer-based defense learns your moves and becomes tougher as you play. Unfortunately, the game's interface is a bit clunky, especially if you're using your keyboard rather than a gamepad. Regardless of what input device you use, it takes a couple of hours to get ahold of all the ways runs can be played, especially since the tutorial is disabled in the demo. Most of the game modes also are disabled, but the available Exhibition mode gives a good sneak peek into how the pigskin is played.

Its not a bad football game however there is one thing that kills me. John Madden has to be the worst commentator in the game of football, his comments are terrible. A guy dropst he ball what does John say? "Thats the old rule if you touch it you gotta catch it!" Wow thanks John! And then this is the killer, WHen the dude knocks the ball down John says "he can't catch it, if you knock it down!" Well no kidding could have fooled me

This is only a 40 MB demo. The graphics aren't good because they had to minimize the file size as much as possible. Because most people don't like downloading 100MB files. The graphics are the best graphics for a football game if you have the full version.
