  When Macromedia purchased eHelp and their popular RoboPDF software program, users expected big things. Well, guess again. Macromedia recently launched FlashPaper (Ver. 2) as its replacement to RoboPDF, shortly after telling customers that they were discontinuing the RoboPDF program. The program that made it simple to turn documents into PDF files and print just about anything into a PDF file dumbed down the software and removed certain features that made RoboPDF such a popular program. Oddly absent is the "append" feature, which allows you to merge two PDF files together. Say you are creating a report and would like to send just one PDF file, RoboPDF made it possible. FlashPaper does not. After shelling out $79.00 for this program because Macromedia will no longer support RoboPDF, I was very, very disappointed. Please bring my RoboPDF back! If you are looking for an inexpensive way to produce PDF files, Macromedia's FlashPaper is NOT it. PROS: The print files into Macromedia Flash, document zoom feature. CONS: The absence of the valuable "append" feature, the awfully high price, the destruction of a perfectly good RoboPDF program, and more.
