macOS Sonoma represents the latest evolution of Apple's operating system for Mac computers. This version, also known as macOS 14, emphasizes enhanced gaming performance and greater personalization options for users. It introduces a dedicated Game Mode designed to optimize CPU and GPU resources for a more immersive gaming experience. Additionally, the update enhances video conferencing capabilities with a presenter overlay feature, allowing users to maintain focus on themselves while presenting content. Safari benefits from improved desktop notifications and the ability to create user profiles for tailored browsing experiences.
Noteworthy features from Apple's mobile operating system, iOS 17, have been incorporated into Sonoma, including enhanced autocorrect functionalities, faster auto-fill for documents, and a new method for activating Siri. Users can also enjoy interactive widgets on their desktop, along with a variety of dynamic screen savers. However, it is important to note that macOS Sonoma is compatible only with newer Apple devices, which limits accessibility for users with older models.
