Welcome to Luminos version 9.2! We've made some big improvements in this release, and the biggest of all are new ultra-high definition textures! You can now view the Moon and Earth in amazing detail with 100 megapixel textures, and we've also freshened our sun texture with a higher resolution version created from SDO and STEREO imagery. Finally, we've made Dr. Axel Mellinger's beautiful all-sky Milky Way panorama even more gorgeous with new image processing and a higher resolution.
This release isn't just about looks -- we've also tweaked features and made fixes: eclipse maps now show the boundaries for totality and provide more details about the moment of greatest eclipse, moon phase changes are listed under the Moon and shown in the Tonight view, satellite positions and rise/set times are more accurate with the WGS84 shape model for Earth, and we've added support for the new Astro-Physics CP4 telescope.
You'll also find numerous fixes and tweaks, such as widgets adjusted for iOS 10 and motion tracking that activates more easily. You can find full details and videos at our website!
Fiixed in 9.2.1: The equipment editors no longer sometimes show blank fields and they now use a larger font. We also tweaked the constellation images slightly for a more consistent appearance between different screen resolutions.
