For iPod Touch user, Wi-Fi is required to get location information. As the Map saves the most recent maps you've used, so you may still have a partial map when offline.4. For devices with build-in GPS (iPhone 3Gs and 4G), GPS coordinates can be recorded even phone service is not available. 5.
