Leawo Video Accelerator for Windows

Leawo Video Accelerator allows you to download videos through a custom browser interface, organize them in a separate folder, and convert them to the formats you need on your devices, all within a single tool. While the smart-response video detection doesn't work perfectly, the tool does allow you to download videos from a single space relatively quickly.

Pros

Offers numerous tools in one interface: Leawo Video Accelerator offers a number of powerful tools in a single interface, allowing you to both download and convert your videos in a single step, even providing conversion tools from within the download interface. While the browser is not perfect, it's a good way to avoid plug-ins in your regularly used browsers.

Autodetection of videos on a Web page: When you visit a site with video, the software will detect videos and ask if you want to download them. This happens automatically as you surf the site, and you can either ignore them or click the "Yes" or "No" buttons -- an easy way to snag what you want.

Cons

Autodetection can pull the wrong files: The major problem with autodetection, however, is that the software will often pull the wrong files, or files that are not videos. We downloaded a handful of 2KB files that had no video content in them while surfing in Leawo.

Interface can be clunky: The interface can be clunky and jarring as the pages shift around. The browser works decently, but doesn't respond perfectly to the newest technologies and therefore can display content a bit askew at times. Combined with the frequent pop-ups, the experience can be frustrating.

Bottom Line

Leawo Video Accelerator general interface and detection setting issues may be a deal breaker for some, but it's a decent video tool that will fill a niche for many users.
