Le Dimmer for Windows

Le Dimmer helps you stay focused on the task at hand by dimming all windows except the one you're actively working in. This can help you avoid distractions like seeing e-mails pop up in the background so you can increase your productivity and get your work done faster. There are multiple options for dimming, making this app an efficient way to manage your desktop distractions.

When you install Le Dimmer, it starts running immediately and automatically dims all windows except the one you're currently working in. If you'd like to undo the dimming at any time, you can access the app from the taskbar in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. To make another window your focus, just click on it as you normally would to move it to the top. The previous window you were working in will dim and then the new window will become clear. It is also possible to adjust the maximum window size allowed and set the degree of transparency on a scale from 0 to 225, with a default setting of 150.

The interface of Le Dimmer is about as streamlined as it gets, with options in the pop-up menu for About and Quit. But the app works well, it's free, and it's a useful tool for anyone who has trouble staying focused while working on the computer.
