The LaCie DiscRecording installer will add the latest LaCie drive support to burning applications that use the DiscRecording framework. This includes but is not limited to, the Finder, iTunes, iPhoto, Backup, Disk Utility and DVD Studio Pro.
d2 and Porsche DL DVD???±RW (16x) w/LightScribe based on TSSTcorp SW-H162L
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I just attempted to install this software and I get an error message informing me that the installation encountered an error right at the final stage. It doesn't explain what the error is or what caused it, but I have no option other than to quit the installer.
Toast 7 allows me to burn DVD's so not all is lost, but it is annoying having spent all that money and not have it fully funtional.
I have sent an e-mail to Lacie Support but am still waiting on a reply from them. I can only assume that this version doesn't support 10.4.3
Any help with this would be appreciated.
TIA

Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This profile allowed me to add native support to an internal pioneer A07 drive in my dual 1ghz MDD. I did not have to use the patchburn utility to add support for this drive with this update. The drive is fully recognized and I have used iDVD4, iTunes 4.2 to create cd and dvd disks. Disk utility erases DVD-RW and DVD+RW media. iDVD only supports DVD-R/RW media. The max media speed I have on hand is DVD +/- 4x R/RW. System profile identifies the drive as:
