apart from easy to use, there are NO cons

full of faults & bugs. cant scale, forgets preferences, missing many avery label sizes, select a label size but end up with the wrong template. etc cant add labels or modify, and nothing can be tweaked (other than font size..)

When I first tried it, I was warned when I tried to print a label that I would have an overprint until I paid the shareware fee. Sorry to hear they dropped that. But don't let one bad testing experience make you turn away from this superior program. It a perfect world all programs would perform like this one. You'll never be sorry you bought it.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I was a little nervous when I saw the comments here about ruining a page of labels, but I long ago learned to always use plain paper first to get the alignment right. It says right on the web site, and in the documentation that it will print "unregistered" on your labels until it is paid for. I guess some people don't read, or in too much of a hurry. It is so easy to use, it is exactly what I needed. I can create quick labels with pictures on them, and they print perfectly. I asked tech support how to start printing somewhere other than with the first label, and they told me just to leave the labels blank I don't want printed (duh). They were quick to answer, and most courteous, a rare joy in this day and age.
Guess I should have read the feedback!

Of course the joke is on the programmer as I now have a whole sheet of unregistered labels for free. Yeah, this programmer has lost my business as well. Templates are a dime a dozen as are label programs. To ruin a whole sheet of labels without warning is just stupidity on the part of the programmer. I would not be surprised if he does not sell a lot of this product. Other than this large gaffe in the intelligence department, mine and his, the program looks like a spruced up hypercard stack that was pulled kicking and screaming into OS X. It does get the job done and it does a decent job of doing it.....it just does not look good whle doing it. This could have been a recommended program but an overzealous programmer is a little over protective of a program that there are many clones for.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />6.1 took _forever_ to print to my LW 630 (12 minutes!). This is just simple text on a label. I just tried 6.2 and that problem has been fixed, either by LPP or buy Apple (I'm now running 10.3.3 rather than 10.2.8). Be warned that LW printing in 10.2 can take a long time with this program. It's fine on MacOS 9 and 10.3.3, though. Since I needed curved text and didn't care about importing directory listings or serialized numbers, I went with Discus instead. Same price, more features. But LPP isn't a bad little program for the price.
