Editors’ Review
KPSS Geri Sayım Sınav Sayacı from DuKa Studios is an Android study utility designed for candidates preparing Turkey's Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS). The app provides real-time countdown timers for undergraduate, associate and secondary exam tiers, application-deadline tracking, topic-based study planners with progress marking, and a 'Hap Bilgi' quick-facts module for last-minute review. Its Material 3 interface is lightweight and optimized for modern Android devices, with offline operation to preserve progress during disconnected study sessions. Designed for Turkish students and civil service candidates, it centralizes exam timing and study tracking in an on-device tool.
It centralizes deadlines and countdowns for each KPSS tier
The app exposes separate, real-time countdowns for Lisans (Undergraduate), Ön Lisans (Associate Degree) and Ortaöğretim (Secondary Education) exams and pairs them with application-deadline tracking so registration windows remain visible. Candidates can scan remaining time for each tier at a glance, which supports calendar-driven study planning on Android devices. The layout emphasizes exam timing to keep key dates prominent during extended preparation periods.
It turns syllabus content into measurable, topic-based progress
The study planner breaks KPSS syllabi into topic units that users mark as completed, producing an at-a-glance sense of coverage. Topic-based tracking covers core subjects and reports cumulative progress so candidates can prioritize unfinished material. Subjects presented include:
- Turkish
- Mathematics
- History, Geography, and Civics
The interface and onboarding fit self-directed candidates aiming for quick access
The Material 3 visual design offers a modern, fluid layout and an experience reviewers and users describe as simple and fast. Candidate feedback highlights the pairing of study tracking with timers as a practical arrangement for solo preparation. The app's lightweight approach targets lower battery impact during long mobile study sessions, an advantage for users who rely on phones for sustained revision.
It favors reliable on-device use rather than cloud collaboration
Offline operation keeps progress and countdowns available without an active connection, supporting study in locations with limited service. The app is available on Android and optimized for modern Android versions; cross-platform availability is not listed. By combining countdowns with topic tracking, it differentiates itself from single-purpose timer apps that do not include structured study metrics.
Pros
- Real-time countdowns for undergraduate, associate, and secondary KPSS exams
- Topic-based progress tracking across core KPSS subjects
- Hap Bilgi quick-facts module for concise last-minute review
- Offline operation preserves progress without an active internet connection
Cons
- Specialized to KPSS content, limited use outside that exam
- Available only on Android, no other platforms listed
- No collaboration or cloud synchronization features are described
Bottom Line
The app suits individual KPSS candidates seeking a focused companion
The app is a practical option for Turkish KPSS candidates who need focused, on-device study coordination and clear deadline awareness. Its exam-specific orientation narrows its usefulness outside KPSS preparation, and Android-only availability limits multi-platform continuity. For individual candidates managing their own revision calendar, it provides a concentrated planning environment; teams or multi-exam learners may prefer broader tools. That makes it a pragmatic pick for solo exam preparation.
