King of Santa Paravia for iOS

The year is 1400 and you begin the game as Sir (or Lady) of Santa Paravia.

The goal of this game is to become King (or Queen) by making the correct choices for the people of your land -- including buying or selling some of that land. Along the way there are marketplaces and woolen mills to buy, palaces and cathedrals to build, and platoons of soldiers to outfit. And watch out for rats eating your grain!

Note that while playing this game, in order to proceed from one screen or view to the next, either tap the Next button on the upper right of the screen, or simply swipe the view left, and the next view will appear.

This is a text-based game that was originally written by George Blank for the Apple II. Later the code for the game was ported to a BASIC program that was run on a TI-99/4A back in the early 80's. The TI-99 BASIC port was published in a computer magazine for kids (like me at the time) to type into their computer and run to their heart's content, and from that code this game has been coded in Swift to run on an iPhone, on an iPod, or on an iPad.
