Kindlian is a cool add-on for your Kindle. It's a desktop app that allows to view and manage Kindle books and collections. Kindle allows to visualize your Kindle library, manage collections, read and convert books to Kindle format, search, sort book lists, create book ratings and edit book metadata (title, author, series, description). You can also update book covers thanks to Google Images integration. Kindlian allows to convert EPUB, FB2 and HTML books to MOBI.

Works on PC only - not on actual Kindle

Pros
Offers less functionality than that Calibre which is free but new users may find its interface more user-friendly than Calibre for basic functions.
Cons
Be wary of the latest version of this application, it claims to be compatible with all versions of Kindle and it is in terms of being able to manage collections ON YOUR PC but you cannot save those collections back to the Kindle which all seems rather pointless. They do admit this in their FAQ but it is not obvious in their marketing blurb. " Are collections synced between PC and Kindle? No, because Amazon doesn't let third party software to access the collections file. But the idea is that with the help of Kindlian you can keep your library on PC and organize books into collections only on PC. And on Kindle you can leave a couple of books that you read now, so you don't need collections on Kindle." Don't need collections on Kindle? That is a rubbish statement.
Summary
A waste of time, just glad I tried it before I paid for it, even the $5 upgrade from a previous version I bought that turned out to be totally useless on anyhing other than the earliest versions of Kindle.

I WOULD GIVE THIS -5 IF I COULD. After loading and installing on my pc it asked me to connect the kindle. then it asked me to reset the kindle. I tried this but after an hour it had not reset . Eventually when came back from 'the boy under a tree' icon. It displayed a 'your kindle needs repair' sign. I am SO annoyed - don't use this , you have been warned !!

Summary
Sadly if, like most people, you have anywhere approaching an extensive library of Kindle books, this program will be useless to you. It will only function if the device contains less than 100 items, and will ask you to delete some books or buy the paid version. It uninstalls quickly, mind!
