Just a small drag & drop tool to convert any picture to a JPEG 2000 picture. Per default the maximum quality is used, but you can choose something different if you press the option key while the picture is converted. This is an example of what you can do using Realbasic and the Monkeybread Software Realbasic Plugin. Sourc code is included.

FYI The standard is not just for OS X: It's for all platforms. It's just that MS Windows, their IE and other browser makers don't support it yet because there's no strong incentive to. Not many people are using it because there's not much software to support it, it's a Catch-22 right now.
