Job2Do aspires to be the simplest, most intuitive batch scheduler you have ever used without sacrificing the core functionality that you need. Say goodbye to Windows Scheduled Tasks and custom batch scripting. Job2Do was designed for small to medium-sized businesses having sophisticated software automation needs. You can use it to run 50 jobs on a single Windows machine or 500 jobs distributed throughout a heterogeneous network of Windows and non-Windows machines (Job2Do is written in pure Java and has been tested on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Solaris). No matter what the operating system, as long as your executable or script is command line-accessible, you can schedule it in Job2Do. Via a simple, clean interface Job2Do gives you enterprise-level control over your jobs. Not only can you schedule by day-of-week and time, but you can also define explicit dependencies between jobs and define holiday calendars to prevent jobs from running on certain days. Additionally, you can parameterize dates in your jobs' command lines so that jobs can perform date-based processing (e.g. process a file with the current date in the filename). In addition to allowing you to schedule any command line-accessible binary or script, Job2Do comes with several built-in commands including FTP, filewatcher, GZip/GUnzip, email, and job data export (to backup your job definitions).
