Though this program may be a boon for those who are chart-challenged, $100 can buy a lot of colored paper and pens. JCVGantt works in tandem with MindManager X5, a project-management program, to create Gantt charts on the fly from project outlines. This main function it performs effortlessly and accurately. It's easy to create and edit charts--simply enter a list of project participants, resources needed, and a list of goals. During testing we were able to enter any number of people, resource needs, and goals without much trouble, and the charts created from entered data were clear and concise. JCVGantt also lets you follow and notate project progress by color. The biggest drawback of this program is its cost; dozens of project-manager programs are on the market, and JCVGantt is at the top of the list as to price. Overall, if you can stomach the cost and love the features, this application is a decent choice.

Very easy to use compared to most programs of this kind, though it does have a couple of clunky spots in the UI. I knocked a point off my "value" rating for this product because you can't attach notes to a resource.
