Jackett acts as a proxy server, translating queries for torrent trackers. If you use Sonarr, Radarr, or similar apps, it fetches results and sends them back. It makes torrent management easier.

Top Recommended Alternative

  • Pros

    • Supports RSS feeds for timely updates | Simplifies torrent searching across multiple trackers | Free license makes it accessible to all | Centralizes indexer scraping and translation logic | It actually does what it says on the tin

  • Cons

    • Windows only: sorry, Mac and Linux users | Another app to configure and keep running | Requires some technical knowledge to set up | Relies on external torrent trackers, which can be unreliable | The name is terrible. Seriously.
