IVOS (Intelligent Voice Operating System) as its name suggests is an intelligent agent which runs on your desktop and learns the way the computer is being operated by you. It has both Speech Recognition and Text to Speech. Control the whole computer with your voice using the hundreds of pre built commands. Create your own commands for any software you like. Transfer any recorded .WAV file to text. Record the most complex of macros with the touch of a button.

Change the skin color of your IVOS. Right click on any command and record your voice for that particular command. Get confirmation for any command you said and get voice messages when open or exit IVOS. With the new Start recognition and Stop recognition commands, you can switch on or off IVOS with your voice. Version 2.0.3 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

The software works great for me. I don't know what these other people are talking about when they couldn't make it work. It does just what I say. Literally! But it isn't $29.99, it's acctually $50. I don't know if it's worth the money.

I read the entire help file before trying to use this, and it sounded really great. Exactly what I wanted. Only problem is, it doesn't work at all! It doesn't dictate, doesn't accept any of my voice commands, even after training. And my system is OK because Office XP voice recognition works.

The program seems to work fairly well, althought when your trial period ends and you attempt to register the program after purchasing it, nothing happens the program states invalide serial number. I have been attempting to contact Tech. Support alothough they refuse to reply to my messages. do yourself a favor and choose a reliable program.

I have been using IVOS for a couple weeks now, and was so impressed that I purchased a license for it. I agree that one of the major drawbacks to this software is that it requires the installation of the MS Speech SDK. (At 64MB, this is not an insignificant addition.) Nevertheless, once installed IVOS provides easy-to-follow wizards for setting up/adjusting the microphone and voice recognition training. I have found the speech recognition overall to be good, though with pure dictation the accuracy is a little lower than I would like. On the other hand, I find that it performs OS/application control/navigation very well. What I find excellent is the fact that not only can you customize existing voice commands, you can create new ones. You can also specify alternative voice commands for any action. Thus, if you want "get mail", "check mail", "check messages", etc, can all check your email. Another other feature that is extremely useful is that you can enter application specific commands. I have never had any problems with crashing or instability. Perhaps most important of all, I have found the support for this product excellent. All of my inquiries have been answered within a day and it is obvious that someone has actually READ your questions (no canned responses). I recommend taking the time to read the Help files, doing the voice training and poking around the various included voice commands. The product is good as it is and has a tremendous amount of potential.
