Forget tech support, there is none!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Now that I've used the software for all of a day, and printed quite a few things with it, I am updating my review to reflect what I think is a better feature set than I at first thought. I am still having buggy printing, esp. when I use my own images. But I liked what i saw enough to pay the $7.
Agreed: Great Potential

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Right now, I use the Discus software that came with my Epson 900 to print directly to printable CDs and DVDs; I even paid the $20 to upgrade to get full capabilities for printing sleeves, etc. And I have to say that Maxell could have done a worse job on their exPressit; it's got a decent OS X installer done by Zero G, and it works. Not all bad. But when all is said and done, I'm still using 2 applications too many. I would gladly pay a fair fee [more than the current one] for a less buggy, iTunes-integrated direct-to-disc printing capability and full sleeve capabilities.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />...support for the Epson series of InkJet printers: the 900, R300 ans R800 (I think). These are extremely affordable high-quality printers that print directly to CD. Basically, now that these are available -and considering the elegance of direct-to-CD printing - I think label-printing will go the way of SCSI in no time.
As for all the bugs, I can only hope these are worked out quickly. I think the product looks promising. Diskus EP is the program Epson was shipping with the 900 (and I assume the other newer printers) when I bought it. The program does teh job, but it missing major design features and it's is very non-Mac and is butt ugly to boot. That said, the author might look at it and include ALL it's features, and then some. Simple thing like a Small Caps option, a truly Mac-like colors option palatte, support for template exports (in PS and FreeHand/Illustrator formats for starters) would make this a real design program. A one-stop solution is what we need, and if this program can mature into that, my money is yours. (Just don't get too greedy! : )

If I were the sort of guy who traded CDs with friends, I'd use this to make high quality labels on the CDs that I burned for them.
Nice piece of software!! I bought it immediately.
What would be nice: being able to manipulate the pic on the CD label page, and/or change the black box color and title font type and color.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Thanks for responding to by comments. The sources are now accurate and reflect my iTunes sources. There is also an option to print a CD label in addition to jewel case labels. However, the CD label only shows the source title and not the tunes. How do I get the tune names to show? Still need a better help file. Keep up the good work. I know it's still beta and I appreciate your efforts.
Still OK, but.....

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />It's still a good concept, but it misreads my sources. The titles are correct, but the contents are incorrect. Still needs a help file, and the ability to print to a CD lable instead of a jewel case lable.
