Ahhhh, days gone by
thedktr- Pros
- I've been using this program for about 4 years. It has some nice features, like the CDDB interface and Autosearch features.
- Cons
- I'm not getting all of the chanels loading all of the time, and files aren't coming down like they used to. It seems the latest iterations aren't working as well as those even 6 months ago.
- Summary
This Program Is Junk
Tom Peranteau- Pros
- Connects to many networks.
- Cons
- First of all, this program touts to be "free", but has a note in the title frame that instantly informed me that I had "4 days left" before it expired. Next, I specifically searched for Mac software from the pull down, and a specific title. The search returned everything from porn WMV files to junk text files. Not worth the time to download. I'll stick with Limiwire for now.

ccmac- Pros
- easy to use
- Cons
- sometimes to download hard to do so

More bad then good
stagger225- Pros
- Connects to many networks
- Cons
- It says its donateware, but it has an expirary date to it. Results are messy, you search for something and get totally different results. It is no good

life could be so sweet....

- Summary
- i USED this for a good few months, maybe even close to a year. Most of the time (for me) it was connecting to all the networks it promised, it was great getting results. Rarely got anything from them :( What made me remove it was that i found myself struggling for HD space, had a bit of a snoop and discovered that iSwipe had stashed around 20gig worth of incomplete downloads. HillmanMinx could have a winner but has far too many issues to address before i start using it again let alone 'donate'.
Hmmm

- Well, it works. Mostly. Very slow speeds as I have come to expect from every Mac Donkey client but the downloads start and a few days later finish. Could do without this app causing my iMac DV 400 to lock up on occasion which can only be fixed by hard rebooting..... Not all bad but certainly room very improvement and I would not really consider donating due to it's instabilities.

- I AM HAVING TROUBLE FINDING OUT WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT. I AM A NEW COMPUTER USER
Good on X, baaaaad on OS9

- Summary
- I took the Carbon version for a spin on a PB3400/OS9 and an iMac/OSX. Leaving iSwipe running on the PB for a few hours resulted in a hard lock up and required deleting the app. On OSX, it seems to run fine. Given the hard knocks this app delivers to the TCP stack, I'm not surprised.
Crashed my imac
- Pros
- Cons
- Summary
- I launched the application, it automatically started to download eDonkey or something close to that name I didn't mess with anything and let it finish the download. Once it finished my mac crashed! Everytime I try to start it up it starts normal with a grey screen and then the bars on the cicle start to spin. At this point it does one of three things: 1. It freezes and the bars stop spinning. 2. My computer brings up a screen teeling me to force a restart. 3. Or it just spins, I let the bar spin for over eight hour's. Now I have no idea what to do. My iMac is dead thanks to this program loading whatever that componet was. Maybe someone would know how for me to get my computer going? If not, this application just cost my mac, my family pictures, my document, my life of information maybe be lost now.
