It has been developed to give visitors a more immersive experience and detailed explanation of the Irish Hunger Memorial, which was designed to raise public awareness of the events that led to the famine of 1845-52 and to encourage efforts to address current and future hunger worldwide. Some of the features of the app include: 1. A dynamic map providing an overview of the grounds with information describing Ireland s counties and native flora. 2. An audio introduction by Artist Brian Tolle.3. A complete list of text which is incorporated throughout the Memorials structure.4. A GPS tool for navigating to and from the Memorial.
